Operations: Philosophy, Methods and Strategies
Strategic approach.
Moto: Don’t invent what’s already invented, don't repeat folly mistakes; embrace existing tools, learn to manage and allocate existing resources; learn form the best.
• Everything we need already exists. Creating self-indulging versions just to take credit for in the fast-paced modern times is a waste of precious resources and hinder advancement towards key positions.
• Perfecting resources management and allocation, and outsourcing skills;
• Systematization: Saving time and energy by creating better systems;
• Effectiveness, Optimization, Efficiency: accessing system's idling resources;
• Better knowledge (Wisdom) • Better Priorities • Better Objectives • Better Information • Better Outcomes;
• Technology use: Data is overvalued. Not every business needs vast amounts of data. We work with information and pay attention to the main players and the most relevant developments in the most important and decisive areas;
• Generalization vs Specialization: AI outperforms humans in specialized tasks; while IT workers, as the blue-collar workforce of the 21st century, hold limited decision-making power. Balancing generalization with specialization enhances creativity, fosters greater freedom.
• Great people are still the most important asset.
Organization: Governance, Management, Operations, Research and Studies
• Effective and Efficient Network business model
• Lean organizational structure
• Effective and cost-efficient operations
• Activity based budgeting
Foreknowledge and Mitigation
• Events can be foreseen, things can be foreknown. Everything can be [under]-[stood]: "Wishing to be sincere in their thoughts, they first extended to the utmost their [know]-[ledge]. Such extension of knowledge lay in the investigation of things (extending knowledge consists in having truck with things; one needs to 'with-stand' endeavor to truly learn and under-[stand])" The Great Learning
